I own the disc version of the game, but upgraded to the Steam version to give my disc version a break. zip This probably depends on the age of the mod, or the way how Steam handles mods, I have no clue. Next, rightclick the mod you downloaded and click Properties. I even drag the folder of the installed mod into the a folder and called it mod.Īccept for one, and that is to install the game in a folder and then draw the data files of the mod into the Rome folder and over rite the files.Īnyways, does anyone know of an way to install mods, without having to overide the orignal files Go to and download/install WinRAR if you haven't done so already. No work, I would get "can't find Steam version of the game etc" So I did what I usually do, copy and paste a duplicate file of the files for Rome total war and install the mod into the file folder with the files, (in which saves me from over riding and detroying the Vanilla files of the orignal game), and install the mod into the folder and named it the mod. So I installed it and decided to try to install a mod LIKE DARTHMOD that I recently downloaded for Rome total war. The game was on sale for $6.49, than $12.99.

I bought the Rome TOTAL WAR Collection which was comprised of ROMETW & BI & ALEX Expansions. I purchased the Digital Copy of Rome total war on Steam Engine or STEAM for those who are familiar.
